Mount Dora, FL – Jennifer Sullivan recently announced her candidacy for the Florida House in District 31 and almost immediately launched a “$10,000 in Ten Days Challenge.” Her supporters did not disappoint.

In contrast to the campaign finance activity of other candidates during their first days in the race, as reported on the Florida Department of State's Division of Elections web site, Sullivan's contributions of $10,107 easily outpaced her competitors.

An even greater contrast is the number of donors and the average contribution. In a very short time, Sullivan has seen the support of more than 100 campaign contributors, with an average donation of less than $90. This formula proves Sullivan's strong grassroots organization.

“Although continuing to raise funds is a necessity, I'm now turning a large part of my focus to finding solutions to tough issues facing the residents of District 31,” said Sullivan. She will hear firsthand about these issues as she, and over 40 volunteers, begin knocking on doors next week. What they learn during this time will be addressed at Sullivan's “Campaign Kick-Off” to be held Saturday, September 7th at 5:30pm in Donnelly Park, downtown Mount Dora.
